Harika Crown, Qlayat.

Before La Châtelaine du Liban, there was Harika Crown, our family restaurant in Qlayat, in Lebanon’s Keserwan region.

That chapter remains part of our identity: a Lebanese table, dishes passed around, and the pleasure of welcoming people well.

1997 · Elie Harika opens a new chapter.

In 1997, Elie Harika founded La Châtelaine du Liban on Place du Châtelain in Ixelles, bringing the family’s restaurant story to Brussels.

Our name connects those two places: Châtelain, our Brussels neighbourhood, and Lebanon, where our roots are.

2013 · The fire. The years between.

In 2013, a fire forced the restaurant to close. It interrupted daily life at La Châtelaine du Liban and began a long chapter away from the dining room.

2017 · The doors open again.

In 2017, Elie and Roula welcomed guests back after months of preparation. Roula reimagined the interior, with a wooden cedar at its heart.

The story continues around the table.

We welcome you at the same Place du Châtelain address, with Lebanese dishes to share and a family story that remains at the heart of the restaurant.
